Certificate of Occupancy
All new residences and most structures require a certificate of occupancy to reside in the building. To occupy such a building, all applicable permits have received final approved inspections. Additionally, extraneous documents, such as energy calculations or zoning requirements, have been received by either IMS or the community that issued the permit.
IMS requires the following documents to issue a certificate of occupancy:
Final energy calculations (i.e., blower door test)
Truss diagrams (if you submitted instead a truss data load sheet upon application)
Proof that other outstanding conditions (whether for inspections or zoning) are met
